Once again, we have published a new issue – thanks to one and all who helped put it together. The theme of “Poverty, Chastity and Obedience” proved to be one of the more difficult themes, at least as compared to our new theme of “Life and Death.” At one point in the past few months, we had more submissions for the spring issue than for the winter issue! However, it all worked out by the end.
You can read the new issue here. Don’t forget to leave comments for the authors! The purpose of the Alexandrian is to support them in their work, as well as publishing them, and to build up the community of authors, artists, and you – the readers.

I’m sorry this issue is so much later than I intended to publish it – it is now “Winter 2009” rather than the “Winter 2008” which I had hoped for. How does one go about dating the winter season, anyway? We always consider spring the first season of the year, and winter the last, but most of the winter months are in the new year: winter doesn’t even start until December 21st. Any suggestions? If not, I think we’ll stick with the current system, listing winter as the first season in each year.
During the next week, I will be writing more about each of the works we’ve published this season. Until then, I hope you enjoy the works themselves!
